I know the struggle…

There is so much vying for your attention. The demands we face are unending. Our children, our partners, friends and family, all need so much from us. Then there’s the world around us telling us how we should dress and act, how we should spin all the plates perfectly, work full time and parent full time, all with an Instagram ready house and perfectly done hair!

I know what I really need is to be here. Right where I am. I need to see the beautiful and sacred right in the middle of the mess. I need to be reminded to stop and notice what I have. I want to remember these times. They are only born once. They only nurse for a number of months. They won’t always run and play with such blissful ignorance. I’ve been a mother for 11 years, and those days have gone by faster than I could have ever imagined.

I’ve got three wild boys and two spunky girls, all born at home. (Well, more or less. One was born in the back of a car, but that’s a story for another day.) They run wild on 13 acres in rural Tennessee. My partner is a beautiful human with a boisterous personality that is sometimes a bit much before I’ve had my coffee. I never leave home without earrings. You will frequently find me at home, curating my cozy decor, sipping on something tasty, and eating something sweet.

How about you? What does your struggle look like? What do you want to look back on and remember forever? How many plates are you spinning? I want to know! Reach out and say hello!
